The magic of music - put your feet up :)

Some of us are experiencing the winter and others are going into the spring.

Isn't that in itself magical?

Yesterday I put up some Christmas decoration while watching the landscape outside turning into a winter wonderland.

I have always loved the winter season. Many people struggle with the lack of daylight and more rainy, cold and grey days.

It simply shows how much we enjoy the warmth of the sun and the light.

For me however, there is something magical about those dark days when candles are lit, blankets finally get used and cups of tea or hot chocolate are being enjoyed.

Of course we can grab a good book that will add some cozy flair to such moments.

Or we can simply listen to relaxing music, put our feet up and breathe.

Music can change how we feel. It can make us feel more relaxed, present or happy.

Certain music however can also cause more dissonance in us.

This seems to be connected to different frequencies. Increasingly we will find relaxing music tuned to 432Hz.

I have observed that when I listen to music in the morning that has been tuned to 432Hz I find myself more relaxed, feeling at peace and in a flow state.

Here is an example for some relaxing music.

If you are struggling with insomnia then try listening to music with a different frequency.

Our body vibrates in resonance or dissonance with music.

It has made such a difference to how my children and I started our day - with calm and presence.

Whether you are driving, walking or taking public transport to work or school, try and listen to relaxing music and observe how it makes a difference to your day.

Even if you are in your home office turn on some relaxing music during breakfast or maybe spend some time listening to it before you get up.

As I have become so used to those magical mornings I tend to forget how noisy other environments can be.

Often the TV or radio might already be on with news that raise fear levels and make our world look like the most dangerous place in the universe.

People go to work and make decisions based on those raised fear levels.

Yet if you get to work with a more relaxed and peaceful state of mind you will find creative and collaborative solutions for the problems that you encounter.

I have not had a TV in years. At this stage I even struggle to imagine sitting in front of a big screen that tends to take over the room.

I am aware that many smaller gadgets have taken over our attention as well. Yet the benefit of those smaller gadgets can be that you can take some relaxing and magical music with you no matter where you go.

Trust me, when you feel at peace, you become more present for yourself and others.

Maybe take some time this week to observe if there is more “noise” in your life than you are aware of. Can you turn down or even turn off those noise levels?

What would happen if you stopped watching the fear raising news for a while?

Would the world maybe look differently to you? Try it out...

Coming up next: The magic of one cell = You. So, stay tuned.
