The magic of setting an intention - finding your own magic

You might remember that last November I set the intention to share some magic and hope with the world. Well, as I am part of that world it of course affected me too.

Isn't that in itself magical?

Can you imagine, that all you have to do is set an intention and simply allow it to unfold? There is no need to control what it is meant to look like. Be open to its magical manifestation in your reality.

When we attempt to control it we tend to limit the possibilities that will arise. We tend to approach it from a "familiar experience" instead of trusting the potential that is waiting in the new and the unknown.

We might take some steps to support our intention but when we allow it to unfold in its own way, it might present itself in magical ways.

Here is an example, of how my intention of "sharing magic and hope" unfolded in unexpected ways. I permitted myself to write the "University Compass".

I took a step to start writing it and then it unfolded in its own way. It was influenced by my experiences as a human potential coach and a mother who has gone and is still going through the process.

I have worked with so many different people and witnessed so many different journeys. I learnt how unique every story and pathway is and how it can change direction at any time.

I experienced magic by spending hours, days and months doing what I love doing. At the same time, I felt hopeful in different ways.

When the first draft was completed, the feedback was encouraging and it gave me more confidence to expand the handbook.

The German version is completed and the English one is in its final stages. There will be country-specific versions available.

While initially, I intended to support students and parents primarily with the decision-making and the application process, I now realize that I also included "magic and hope".

I care deeply about young people and I know many of them do not have the support they need. I want to empower the next generations to find their "inner compass", trust the process and their gifts and feel supported on their journeys.

I want to give students hope and share the importance of taking it step-by-step. Their anxiety levels might be reduced if they know that university is just one of many possible steps lying ahead of them. At no point did I think about the impact that this handbook could have on young people's lives. Only now that it is completed I realise the potential that it holds.

Many students do not have access to college counsellors and might have never heard of human potential coaching. I truly hope this compass and handbook will be a source of inspiration and information for them.

Other examples: In my small town we now have bagels because I kept wondering where and how to find them. Suddenly they appeared in the bakery.

I also wanted to research the possible existence of a community that grows its own food. At the annual spring market, a lady handed me a flyer with information about it.

It is so simple to set an intention. We don't have to have it all figured out or control the outcome. We can take a step in the direction we want to go, trust the process or simply trust that "the bagels will appear at some point".

Sometimes, depending on our intention, we might also go through a transformational and letting go process in order to experience the magic.

If we are holding on to limiting belief systems or unhealthy patterns and they are in the way opportunities will present themselves to transform them.

What do you love doing?  What would you like to change in your life or transform, experience or share? Have you set the intention for that? Maybe you could set the intention "to find your own magic".

Coming up next: The magic of  "trusting your inner compass". So, stay tuned...

Have a magical week!
